What is the MedBot robot and how is it used:

The MedBot system has received CE certification (European Union) and has over 200 commercial installations worldwide, including telesurgical operations over long distances.
The surgical robot is an alternative surgical method to laparoscopic procedures and is gaining increasing popularity among hospitals around the world
Urological indications in which the robot can be used:
- Radical prostatectomy — the gold standard for treating localised prostate cancer. The robot allows urethral reconstruction in the narrow space of the small pelvis with minimal trauma to the neurovascular bundles, which is critical for preserving urinary continence and erectile function.
- Partial nephrectomy — organ-sparing removal of a kidney tumour while preserving healthy parenchyma.
- Radical nephrectomy — complete removal of the kidney for oncological indications.
